Please join us in welcoming the following colleagues who have joined the FLASS family from May 2026 through August 2026.

Dr Steve Mung Wai-yin joined the Department of Science and Environmental Studies as an Assistant Professor in July 2026.
Dr Steve Mung’s major research interests include microwave and millimetre-wave circuits and systems, non-invasive sensing, and smart sensing networks.
He has more than 15 years of industrial experience in operations, design, and manufacturing of wireless electronic products, spanning semiconductors components and consumer devices. Through the integration of electromagnetic sensing, circuit design, and wireless communication methods, his work provides practical and deployable solutions for real-world sensing and communication systems.
He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, a Fellow of Institute of Physics (IOP), a Fellow of Institute of Science and Technology (IST), a Senior Member of IEEE, a Chartered Scientist (CSci), and a Chartered Engineer (CEng).

Ms Ivory Lo Yan-yi joined the Faculty Office in May 2026.
Ivory graduated from the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Language Studies (English Major) programme at EdUHK.
Before joining FLASS, she worked as a Graduate Assistant at the Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation Education and the Human Resources Office at EdUHK, where she focused on event management and social media content creation.
She is delighted to continue her journey at EdUHK with FLASS. Her responsibilities include event management, producing publicity materials, maintaining digital platforms, providing general administrative and coordination support, and assisting with the Faculty’s internationalisation and outreach efforts.
